ElectropaintOSX
During this wonderful winter break I've been doing some coding. Here I present the OS X port of Kent Rosenkoetter's clone of an SGI screensaver favorite; electropaint.
Kent eloquently describes it best:
"Back in the day, when SGI was the pinacle of the graphics field, included in IRIX was a pretty little screensaver known as electropaint. It consisted of only a few quads swirling around the screen on a black background, but for everyone who saw it, the memory was burned in, never to be forgotten. It was simply the most mesmerizing screensaver ever written. Entire rooms of educated computer scientists were reduced to drooling unblinking zombies within minutes."
And now the effect has been ported to the Mac. Enjoy!
Bumped into your link on Apple's main downloads page for what's new:

I luff it. I've gone through a half dozen os x screen savers over the past year, and so far this is my favorite. Thanks for the port!
It really is mesmerizing. Nice job on the port.
My main request for what is now my favorite screensaver is to add support for multiple monitors, where each screen is showing a different pattern. Apple's photo screensavers, for example, show different photos on each screen.
Also, I know this wasn't it's original intention, and it's more than a port, but ever think about converting electropaint to become an iTunes visualizer plug-in? I imagine that modifiying the actions of electropaint based on music would be quite awesome...
